Sales Force Grows with the Addition of New West Coast Account Manager
November, 12 2007—ACD/Labs is pleased to introduce Patrick Wheeler as a new Account Manager for the West Coast region. Patrick joins the ACD/Labs team after seven years as a Principal Scientist; for the past four years he led the Open-Access Instrumentation Team in Discovery Chemistry at Pfizer, La Jolla. In that role, he worked with walkup NMR and LC/MS, high resolution MS, NMR-based small molecule structure elucidation, high-throughput NMR, and also served as scientific liaison in outsourcing arrangements for physical properties measurements and small-molecule X-ray. Patrick was instrumental in the collaboration between Pfizer and Protasis to develop high-throughput technologies for capillary NMR. Previously, he spent 10 years working on NMR and LC/CE at Isis Pharmaceuticals, specializing in nucleosides and oligonucleotides.
"Patrick brings a wealth of experience to his new role at ACD/Labs," said Andrew Anderson, Director of Channel Partnerships and Sales, West Coast Region for ACD/Labs. "His deep understanding of nearly all analytical methodologies employed in Pharmaceutical R&D means he has a lot to offer from his experience and will, no doubt, prove himself to be a valuable asset to our team."
A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies, Patrick lives with his family in Encinitas, California. In addition to other endeavors, he chairs the Board of the Crawford Educational Complex School of Community Health and Medical Practices (CHAMPS) in San Diego, California—a school that educates students in health and medical science where they can learn to make a difference in the medical field of their choice.
ACD/Labs welcomes Patrick to his new role.
