ACD/Web Librarian

View and search local and remote ACD/Labs databases using Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher

Factors such as geographic and inter-departmental separation, as well as a multitude of applied spectroscopic techniques, are often blamed for repeated or duplicate experimentation, and incur delays in the delivery of analytical results, adversely impacting the productivity of R&D departments. Many companies are seeking an end-to-end analytical data management system with the ability to be used across various departments and sites.

Development of integrated processing and data management software for spectroscopic, chromatographic, and other forms of analytical data analysis has been and remains the goal of ACD/Labs. We aim to create software that readily captures, organizes, retrieves, and shares spectra, chromatograms, analytical curves, and chemical structures in an integrated and comprehensive manner. In addition to desktop data processing and management, ACD/Labs supports enterprise level deployment of databases that are accessible to all designated users throughout the company, regardless of their geographic location. ACD/Web Librarian offers viewing of ACD/ChemFolder, ACD/SpecManager, or ACD/SpecManager Enterprise databases through a Web client browser interface. Analytical data incorporated into a database can therefore be accessed via a Web page for the entire organization to browse, review, utilize, and report.

Popular applications:
  • Any analytical laboratory concerned with homogenizing data from various techniques, instrument types, and formats and making it readily available to the rest of the organization, while maintaining control over the quality of the information and its distribution
  • Managers and teams interested in obtaining and reviewing at-a-glance all of the results for a particular project, to facilitate decision making
  • Open access (walk-up) labs to instantly give chemists access to their analytical results
  • Library providers who would like to include analytical data with their compound collections and make them available to select customers over the Web
  • Analytical hardware vendors interested in making their application data available to their select customers over the Internet
