Version 3.0 to 3.5

  1. 97 elements of Periodic table
  2. Sigma-bond organometallics
  3. Amino acids (and their simple derivatives) and monosaccharides
  4. Molecular addition compounds: hydrohalogenides, hydrates, ammoniates

New Features in Illustrated Detail

1. Now 97 elements of Periodic Table are supported

Structures can contain all elements from hydrogen through lawrencium, excluding the He-group elements:

dipotassium tetrachloro(diphenyl)platinate(2-)

ytterbium(3+) hexacyanoferrate(3-)

2. Sigma-bonded organometallics

Compounds with σ-metal-carbon bonds are supported, for example:

bromo(bromophenyl)magnesium

cyclohexyllithium

3. Amino acids and carbohydrates

ACD/Name now has an expanded list of common used semi-systematic and retained names.

Amino acids

ACD/Name now recognizes 23 common α-amino acids each in L- and D-form

Asparagine L-tyrosine D-histidine

Most of common amino acids can be substituted

N2,N6-diacetyllysine

N-benzoyl-5-bromonorleucine

This is allowed for acids only and in the non-stereo form.

4. Molecular addition compounds

Simple additional components are supported in current version: hydrochlorides, hydrobromides, hydrates and ammoniates, for example:

4-aminobenzoic acid hydrobromide

1,3-cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid dihydrate
