The ACD/NIST IR DB enhances the NIST world-class library of reference IR spectra by customizing it to an ACD/SpecManager compatible format. SpecManager offers powerful search tools, top-notch processing and analysis functionality, as well as an advanced visualization interface that helps you to examine and compare your experimental spectrum with those found in the NIST library.
The ACD/NIST IR database contains gas-phase FT-IR absorption spectra for over 5200 organic compounds compiled by both the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). You can track the compounds by their chemical structure, molecular formula, CAS registry number, and chemical name.
All the NIST spectra are stored as individual records in the ACD/Labs spectral database. They can be viewed, searched, processed, and reported with the UV-IR Module of ACD/SpecManager.
Find relevant reference spectra easily using advanced search capabilities. The ACD/Labs spectral data management system provides outstanding search capabilities. We allow searches by structure, substructure and structure similarity as well as by spectrum, subspectrum, or by peak values (including FWHH and Intensity values). Advanced text searches can be carried out using Boolean, comparison, and containment operators that let you simultaneously search across formulas, Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) numbers, chemical names, comments, and other user data fields. Search results can be stored independently as lists that can be further manipulated through logical operations (merge, intersect, subtract, duplicate), allowing for sophisticated search filtering.
You can search the NIST library simultaneously with other databases using the multiple databases searches option.
The ACD/NIST IR DB will populate your desktop with thousands of high-quality reference infrared spectra, ready to use for identification, analysis, or teaching purposes.
