Integrating ACD/Labs Enterprise Solution in a Laboratory Workflow

Abstract

Walk-up or open-access laboratories have dramatically impacted the ability for a small organization to support the analytical needs of its chemists. Commonly, skilled professionals assume the duty of laboratory manager as well as skilled technical consultant. The need to save all the analytical data into a common database accessible to everybody in various sites, as well as the need to manage the analytical request and tasks, can be covered using standalone ACD/Labs tools or integrated into customized applications and third-party software. This talk will summarize the ACD/Labs' offerings that cover these needs, introduce recent developments in managing the analytical workflow, and discuss our efforts to enable sample management. We will also provide some examples of integrating components to external applications.
